Precious Gifts

Hello, and welcome to my newest endeavor!! As you can see, the name of my blog (and this post) is Precious Gifts. What, you may ask, gifts am I talking about?  Well, I feel like I have been given a lot of precious gifts in my lifetime, wonderful family, great friends, amazing husband and the everlasting love of my Father in Heaven to name a few, but it isn’t so much these gifts that I want to focus on here…the precious gift that I am planning on sharing about here is the little baby that my husband and I have been blessed with.

Sadly, in this day and age, babies are often looked at more as a curse than a gift, and the society has made it seem natural and right to kill them.  Yes, I am aware that a baby very quickly turns your life upside down, but is that a bad thing?  As I sit here, writing out this post, I am at 27 weeks.  I have known that I was pregnant for over 22 of those weeks.  And this was not the planned time in any way!!  From my perspective, it wasn’t the most opportune moment at all.  But God saw things differently, and He decided it was the right time.  Once I got over the shock of the idea, I began to be able to see that this is indeed a blessing from God!

I know that I am far from alone in this new stage of my life, after all a lot of women have babies, so I decided to start this blog and share my journey and hopefully be a blessing and encouragement to someone, somewhere out there.  So this is my ongoing story, just the beginning of a whole new life.  I will be starting back at the beginning and building from there, HOPEFULLY I will manage to be up to date by the time “baby” is born.

I hope you enjoy my story 🙂
